What do you want to know about running a WordPress business?

As part of WordCamp Vancouver 2013 we have a panel discussion about running a WordPress Business. The panelists have a vast array of experience, from freelancing to sole proprietorships to agency work and beyond, and this is your opportunity to tap their knowledge to help you on your way to building your own successful WordPress business.

Shawn JohnstonGrant LandramJustin Sainton and Curtis McHale will be part of the panel, which will be moderated by Morten Rand-Hendriksen.

There is lots of ground to cover and lots of topics that can be discussed, and to ensure you get what you want out of the panel discussion and walk away with valuable insights we are asking for your participation:

What do you want to know about running a WordPress Business? Are there any particular topics or questions you want the panelists to address? Are there particular issues you feel are preventing you from getting where you want to go? Are you looking for real life examples of how to handle a certain situation? Are you looking to expand or branch out but don’t know where to start?

You’ve got two ways to let us know your pressing your questions and we’ll do our best to include them in the conversation and get the answers to get you on your way:

  • Leave a comment below
  • Or, alternatively send a message directly to Morten, the moderator of the panel, using the contact form on his site.

It is going to be hard to choose between this panel and Konstantin Obenland Twenty Thirteen Developing a Default Theme. So much good to choose from.

I am web designer part-time. I want to know how to start a web design business including nuts and bolts at the beginning (for ex. copyrighting my business name, domain, etc.). I suspect that I have missed some steps in setting up my business properly.

I am also interested to hear how other web designers find clients.

    Thanks!
